What is the difference between the Anglican / Episcopal and the Roman Catholic Church?

Good question. First, the Church of England is the official religion in Britain and its territory (ie Wales, Scotland, etc..) The head of the Church is the reigning monarch of Great Britain, currently the Queen Elizabeth II. It is, in a sense, the head of the Church. The Archbishop of Canterbury is the Techincal the head of the church in the same way as the Roman Catholic archbishops worldwide that maintain their respective dioceses. The Church of England spread throughout the world since its inception in 1500 and is known by different names in different countries. In America, the Church is called Englad the Epsicopal Church of America. This is the same relegion Church nglican A Englad. The term Anglican is refers to the fact that the church has an Anglo heritage .. ie, based in the UK …. The word name of the U.S. Episcopal is a reference only relegion that is governed by the bishops or bishops.
